UNT leads many initaitives on Unmanend Air Transportation including research, development, standards, and federally funded projects.

Some of the upcoming publications and events  include:

1. A special issue from IEEE VTS magazine on Unmanned Air Transportation to be published in June 2020

2. A new book on "Unmanned Air Transportation: Bringing Principles to Practice" from Oxford University Press, to be published in 2021

3. A student competition on "Vehilce to Vehicle Communciations" during IEEE Conecct 2020 (details will be coming soon)

4.  Two standards: IEEE P1920.1 (Aerial Netwrks and Communications) and IEEE P1920.2  (Vehicle to Vehilce Communications  for UAS)
